FAQ

How many data records are used to generate the longlist?
The research takes into account all major providers of e-solutions for procurement and SCM active in the European market. These are more than 100 systems and providers, which will be continuously expanded over the course of the year. The database also contains special and individual solutions (for example on ESG topics), but the core is made up of the classic procurement suites, which map the operational, tactical and strategic procurement processes more or less comprehensively.
-
To what extent does amc guarantee the accuracy of the entries?
The data is based on the voluntary information provided by the eSolution providers and there is currently no independent review of the responses. Incorrect information provided by providers ultimately leads to rejection on the part of interested parties in the event of a possible in-depth exchange. The database is free of advertising. There is no marketing-based ranking, nor is advertising permitted. The e-procurement longlist is solely concerned with comparability and functionality. The result is a list on the basis of which the purchasing department can set up the further Awarding process.
-
Can amc provide support in the further process of eSolution selection?
amc will be happy to support you in scoping your requirements and, if required, provide you with further expertise on individual solutions. Feel free to contact us!
-
According to which requirements can the e-solutions be filtered?
All procurement sub-processes that you want to digitise can be selected individually and grouped together in clusters. This extends so far that you can, for example, click on whether or not you require OCR processing of paper invoices during invoice processing. Or which ERP system you want to integrate the tool into. For example, if you want to digitise your operational purchasing, need catalogues, cover the entire approval workflow, enable free text orders, track the budget and want to integrate the solution into MS Navision, you will currently receive a longlist of 18 systems that can generally do this. You do not need to contact any other providers. However, for the 18 suitable tools, you will receive detailed information and contact persons from the sales department.

Why does the software selection need this method?
The market for digital solutions in procurement is confusing and constantly changing. A digital market overview with this scope and extensive filter functions has not existed until now. The amc Group has been consulting procurement and SCM for over 20 years in the selection of vendor-independent systems: Experience from countless consulting projects show that purchased solutions often do not fit the requirements at all. The customisations end up costing a lot of money and even more time. The mistake usually happens at the very beginning: during the market overview and pre-selection, which is not easy. The e-procurement longlist solves this problem.
-
Why is the independence from e-solution providers so important to amc?
Since its foundation in 2002, the amc-Group has been providing vendor-independent consulting with the aim of achieving modern, digital procurement. This is based on the conviction that only digitally optimised procurement can meet the requirements of the future and make its contribution to securing Germany as a business location. For all of this to work, the optimal match with the right tools is just as important as the creation of effective, standardised procurement processes and agile procurement organisations. Based on comparable criteria, the longlist provides procurement departments with an initial orientation as to which systems are generally suitable for their own procurement organisation.
-
What does it cost to create a longlist for my company's procurement organisation on this website?
Use of the eProcurement longlist is free of charge. As the service is aimed at companies and institutions, but not private individuals, you must register on the website with your work e-mail address in order to use it.
-
How do I get access to the eProcurement longlist?
Simply register by clicking Create account. You will then receive an e-mail to confirm your e-mail address. Depending on IT security regulations, mails with a link may be blocked: Please check your Junk or MS Defender folder if you do not receive a mail. We will then activate your access and you will receive a further confirmation message. You can then Login with your user name (your e-mail address) and your password and you're ready to go.

How does the eprocurement longlist help the procurement department with software selection?
The eProcurement longlist is a new database for the selection of e-solutions in procurement and SCM. It is developed and operated by the amc Group. The systems can be filtered according to their functionalities - based on the sub-processes that you want to digitalise in procurement. This creates a longlist of providers that match your requirements. The database systematises the market review. With the longlist, the procurement department is well prepared for discussions with system providers and the subsequent tendering process.
-
How can I have myself added to the eProcurement longlist as an eSolution provider or revise my existing profile?
You can register as a provider via the homepage under ‘Register eSolution’ and create and edit your solution. If you want to edit the profile of an existing eSolution for which you are not authorised, simply send us an e-mail to eSolution-Report@amc-group.de and we will assign your user to the corresponding provider profile after verification.

Where does the data come from?
The amc Group - which also compiles the annual overview of providers in the BME eSolutions Report - requests the data directly from the eSolutions providers and the data is updated regularly. Questionnaires based on the amc functional model of procurement were developed for the categorisation. As the e-procurement longlist focuses on those functional modules that can be digitised with the tools, the systems are comparable from a procurement/SCM perspective and in terms of requirements.
